Electronic deadbolt lock for 1995 U280

I am trying to find an electronic deadbolt lock for my 1995 U280 Unihome. The ones at Lowe's and Home Depot are for household doors, and I haven't found one that will fit the 2" thick Unihome door. Most are too tall and would extend up into the window area of the door, making it unsuitable. Has anyone gone through this problem before?
The bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of a cheap price is forgotten.

I've looked at some of the locks out there and haven't really found anything I think will work, except maybe one.  I do believe it will work for you (and me).  The only problem is it's WAY PRICEY!!!!!  :))  But it seems pretty cool in that it uses your phone to unlock the lock.  Amazon.com: August Smart Lock - Keyless Home Entry with Your Smartphone,...

Boy, is this tempting! We've had both a 320 and a 300. Generally, I prefer the Grand Villa but there are three or four 320 features that I miss. One is the key fob locking system. I wonder if this would work on our deadbolts? I'm keeping the web page open. Thinking...

It would be pretty trivial to put a solenoid actuator on the handle lock but I wonder about any of the electronic deadbolts having enough oomph to overcome door gasket pressures.  Typically takes a little pressure applied to the door to actuate the deadbolts on the two coaches round here.

Re door pressure, I'm thinking this might not be a problem with this rig. The key turns easily without touching the door. We always use the deadbolt rather than the handle lock. I really like the idea of auto open without even taking your phone out of your pocket. Think I'll mull this over for awhile.

Okay, it is one trick lock.  Is there a way to avoid having the lock auto actuate upon proximity?  What's the activation distance?  There might be times when you don't want it to unlock automatically.  Kind of like the A320 Airbus that auto actuated its landing gear during a low pass at Paris air show with disastrous consequences.

I wonder if you can disable the inside actuator?  That would be nice.  The easy way in for thieves, proven to me recently, is to jimmy door window, reach in and unlock.  Considering a single sided additional deadbolt addition.

The August deadbolt is a stock item at Apple stores. Looks like a solid part--if not a little pricey! Paul
