More Storage

When Jim removed the couch to put in a second recliner, we lost the storage space provided by the drawer under the couch.  We have a booth dinette.  The drawers in it were dinky -- they didn't use much of the available space under the seats.  Jim just finished replacing the drawer "boxes" with new "boxes" (keeping the front faces) providing great additional storage with no additional footprint taken up.

Nice !!!

We had those same dinky drawers in the same dinette (since replaced though) and they were silly small, just enough room for a couple of placemats or a cheese sized cutting board.  Never thought to do what Jim did, kudos !

Hey wait are those dovetails on the old one and not on the new JIM !!! :P

dont understand why the drawer was so small  ???  no interference with wiring or ducts or whatever. Generally, I see and expect better utilization of space by FT.

If you have a J shaped dinette as we do there is lots of room underneath it waiting to be used.  I made three large drawers that fit under the dinette like the one in the picture.  Roger

There was an Owner that customized his coach at assembly by checking every drawer and cabinet and having the factory lengthen drawers and utilize every space available when it was built.  He also had Texas Ranger Badges for drawer pulls and latches plus a TEXAS stained glass window.  That was the best use of space I have ever seen.
I wonder who ended up with Ed S's Coach, it was one of a kind.
