I have taped into a 12volt sw that feeds my ceiling light. I using led strip light and when hooked up I get low voltage that bleeds by the sw and partially lights the ceiling light when leds are lit. Can anybody tell me how to fix it.?

You may have connected the two lights in series and it needs to be in parallel.

If you attached your LED lights to both sides of the switch you will have the problem you are having. If there are only 2 wires at the switch and both go to the switch then you need to find out which one is hot all the time and connect to that one for your hot and then ground the other wire

You are correct I will find the hot leg and try and find a ground. Finding a ground in a cabinet may be a problem.
