Nacogdoches

Been in Nacogdoche since Wednesday  weather perfect parked at Bern'd getting service work. Found a bad leak generator radiator waiting for parts. Along with radiator preformed hose that no one has. Replacing fuel lines and air bags along with muffler and A C compressor.
Off to FT next week for water heater replacement if they get done at Bern'd
Maybe I will replace it myself.
Any pointers will be appreciated.

Is there a Mobil Rv repairman that could come over to Bern'd and replace water heater?

Good idea. I have been giving them so many jobs, that I do not want to be a pain in the axxxxx
But I really do not want to do it with limited water for showers. Do you know if FT carry water heaters? Or even MOT. PPL would be cheaper at $499 but I do not know how long it would take to get here from Houston? Tony thinks my parts will be here Tuesday.
I could call PPL but I do not know if they will tell me when it will arrive at Bern'd . Any ideas?

You could always drive down to PPL to get one or over to CW in houston. It is three hours or so.

John,

On our 8kw Isuzu generator, we had to cut off the ends of longer formed radiator hoses and just use the center: Top hose NAPA 8247 $8.85.  Bottom hose NAPA 8150 $13.29.  Belville hose clamps 705-1504 $4.60 each.
Our radiator developed a leak because the whole radiator's weight was supported by two small double-bolt rubber mounts that were attached to the radiator's bottom tube.  Over time vibrations broke the ends of the soldered tube.  Our redesign was to remove the double-bolt rubber mounts and support the radiator from the strongest part of the radiator, its end cap seams.  To repair the leak, the broken tube ends were easily soldered closed.
Bern can probably replace a propane heater.  We replaced our heater ourselves with an electric/ propane unit.  Since our coach did come with the front of bed 120-volt heater switch and wiring , we ran a cable to an available bay outlet.

There is a good RV parts store in Tyler, they will probably have what you need, and they are a lot closer than Houston.

I had FOT install the Aqua Hot 600 I had purchased prior to arriving at FOT, they worked me in, took 3.5 days for a beautiful installation, no short cuts, much additional wiring required for the extra 2000 watt element (4,000 Watts total) electrical.
No bad issues with FOT, MOT or Extreme ever, so why change what works good.
