Good Sam ERS (split from another topic)
Ok... Update.. for today
I called Allstate inquiring about coach road service.. they will only tow you to the closest repair facilty.. no thanks, have a nice day.. Then called Good Sams... the platinum plus was 179. but 159 for new members.. Will tow you to anywhere you want for up to 100 miles... mine will be towed to my home if I'm within a couple hundred miles.. also, family is covered on their cars and any of your personal vehicles or if I understood him correctly any car your driving? pretty good deal..
I ran around picking up supplies this morning. opted to not use the distilled water.. I bought 6 more gallons Napa green with low silica.. just to get me home... they ended being about 10 bucks a gallon with the buy a napa 5 gallon bucket for 3.99 and fill it with 3 or more items an get 20% off the total special... it took a total of 4.5 gallons of antifreeze
The Onan 7.5 Generator was 3 quarts low on oil.... 32 oz's low on coolant.. I cranked it and let it run then for 5 minutes.. she purr's...
Bought a concave mirror and siliconed it in place temporarily.. just to get me home..
Had some bad connections going on with the Detroit, so started over.. cleaned and check all battery connections again.. plus removed all cables running to the starter.. one hot and 3 ground.. sanded the connections and put them back.. and the ground to the motor block and coach frame
She was turning over good now... cranked it 15 seconds, waited 60 seconds, cranked it 15 seconds again
and she fired up.. !!!! wow.. she sounds great..!!
The compressor on the Detroit is not pumping up the air... so... I am assuming its the relay off to the side of the compressor that's not kicking in.. its stuck open an just letting the air bypass.. with the Detroit running, I tried tapping on the side of the relay with a hammer. but couldn't get it to kick in. Couldn't see any numbers on it, so I snapped a picture and took a hard look at it.. I'll hit the Detroit dealer tomorrow to by a replacement.. it shouldn't be that expensive of a part.. I suppose I could have taken a line off and shot some PC blaster up in it ... the spring is probably corroded.. I'm southern engineering everything anyway jut to get it home.
speaking of numbers..
Here's my model number... as per metal placard next to drivers seat

None of my other gauges are working..

I will need to amend this before I bring it home..
So.. maybe a fuse blown for the gauges? I couldn't find the fuse panel..
