Truck Repair in Lubbock, TX

The right front wheel on my coach is leaking oil. Does anyone have a recommendation for a repair shop in Lubbock?

Royce,

You might give J.L. Anderson truck repair 4414 MLK ave. 806 687 1488. The've done work on my motor home home a couple of times, Air dryer and AC. Never had a problem with their work and a reasonable charge. The Place is tucked behind a freight company and kinda hard to find.

My next would be McWhorters on Clovis rd & Ave U . Try to stay away from Lubbock Truck sales (Cummins Dealer). They are always swamped and make no bones about not liking to work on motorhomes. They've done good work for me but I just don't like going to someone that doesn't really want my business. The last I saw I think their hourly rate was $135.00 an hour. Good luck. I'm local here so if you need something you can contact me at 806 789 2580 and I'll help in what ever way I can.

Pull your chrome cap and see if the leak is the simple little rubber fill plug .  Might be a wipe and replace job.

Took the coach to Freightliner, Lubbock. They got me in early this afternoon. The tech pulled the hub cap and found no gasket at all - just red silicone sealant where the gasket should have been. The left front wheel did have a gasket with gobs of silicone on both sides. I can't figure out why people do things in such half-a??ed ways.

I have to give Freightliner Lubbock praise for their courteous and efficient service even though their labor rate is high at $175 per hour. We were allowed to stay in the coach and to watch them work on the coach. The tech showed and explained everything to me as he worked.

Do you have any idea of who did the last service on the hubs ?

No, I don't know who might have done the last service on the hubs.
