Sliding Wardrobe door latch drop offs

Has anyone figured out how to attach these door latches securely.    Double sided tape installed at the factory does not do it;  looking for an alternative and don't see too much due to restrictions presented by the mirror back attachment.

Fiddler,

Mine has fallen off, too. I was going to try some 3M Super Strength Molding Tape #2.

Will let you know how it holds up.

BTW, one of the biggest problems, is that the door no longer keeps contact to turn off the light. Fortunately I discovered that the light fixture has two switches on it to turn off the light.

You might try removing any wood finish under the latch footprint and then roughing up the area. Then apply some JB Weld or a super adhesive. Let the adhesive set up & cure for a few days. Also make sure the adhesive isn't affected by heat.

#1 choice would be epoxy.  #2 choice 3M Scotch 4950 VHB tape.

If they won't hold nothing will other than mechanical fasteners.
