Audit monitor

When I was checking out the audit monitor, I never had a reading show up on either the fresh or grey tanks. After two days the black tank read 1/4 but never went higher. Since the move  I dumped the black and gray so they are starting empty. With the fresh tank visibly full the monitor shows empty. I expect to replace the fresh tank monitor with a See Level system in the future. What can I do about the black and gray tanks either short term as well as long term?

You can probably get a view of the water level in the fresh water tank by looking into the bay. The capacity of the grey tank is more than the capacity of the fresh tank.

We have learned how much water we normally use. We know that we need to dump tanks every four days. If we are more conservative, we can go longer. If we use the washing machine, we need to dump much sooner. If water backs up in the shower, it is time to empty the grey water tank -- NOW! You WILL know by the odor if the grey water backs up in the shower.

It is my understanding that the See-Level system will monitor all the tanks. The tanks are tall and will require extra sensors if you want a full range of measurement. You may want to save a few bucks and install only enough sensors to show full on grey/black and low on fresh.

Search the forum for See-Level to get more information and reports of experience.

I bought 2 and had them installed this week at TN RV.  6 strips covered all 3 tanks. I had one monitor mounted in the wet bay and one upstairs. It wasn't much more than buying one monitor with the extra strips.

You could get away with one set. Place the black and gray strips at the top of the tanks and they will register when the get to within 12 inches of the top, and mount the fresh water strip at the bottom of the tank to show when you are 12 inches away from being out.

I am glad I went the way I did. The less I have to think the better I am.  ;D  The monitor in the wet bay will help me fill and/or flush my tanks.

In addition to the black, gray and fresh water tank they also monitor Propane and the house batteries.

I'm happy with them.

We have a See-Level (the panel is in the bathroom) that monitors fresh, gray, and black, as well as engine start batteries.  We love it and are thankful to the previous owner for installing.  The strips are mounted exactly as Jeff & Sandy describe.

Jeff, happy to know you've had experience with TN RV.  Eager to talk to you about it when you are here.  That's the potentially Foretravel-savvy facility that is closest to us.
