Re: Possible Alternative Use for Sewer Hose Storage Compartment

Trent,
I never used the sewer storage pipe on my coach as it was hard to feed the hose in and out, plus the pipe came loose from the door fitting. I removed it and put a cap over the round door hole to keep out water and dirt. I may eventually remove the door and seal up the square hole. I store my sewer hose in a plastic box kept in the sewer compartment.
A solution to your problem may be to add some additional shore power wiring to the other side of the coach with a connector on the far end and a plug on the end where it's now plugged in. You could run this through the storage pipe or fasten the cable to a bulkhead with clamps. If you use the sewer pipe, seal it so varmints can not get in. Maybe the connector could be installed in a plastic cap on the end of the sewer pipe, or add more pipe if it isn't long enough. I think that a good location for the right side connector on my coach would be inside the battery compartment door behind the right rear wheel. The shore power cable could be brought up from under the coach on the passenger side to the connector. I might do that on mine as when I park in front of the house to load up for a trip I have to pull the cable under the coach. Thanks for the idea.
