thin-lite fixture ballast how to?

I had the kitchen under the cabinet thin-lite on 1998 U270 quite working between evening and this morning. All other lights and microwave all work, so I assume that it is a ballast. So now I need to know how to get it apart and remove the lens.
And while I am making a fool out of myself; how do you change the bulbs in all the other fixtures?

Get some butt connectors.  You will remove the fixture, bulbs and metal plate.  Then must remove one wire at a time and use butt connectors to connect to the new ballast.

Sounds more complex than it is.

Does anyone know what bulb I need for that fixture as I read one burned out bulb will cause the good one to not light.

Does it have 2 bulbs? Have you tried a new bulb in it before assuming the ballast is bad? The bulb part number is on your old bulb.

There are LED tube style replacements if you care to go that direction.  pc

Hi John:

I just changed out the ceiling Thin lights in our bedroom to LED-now most of the coach is LED.  I used products from CabinBright.com- very happy with the results.  I replaced all the dual tubes in the thin lights by the sides last year- they work great, less amps, cooler, and hopefully will last forever.  It was also an easy install with the directions that came from Joe at Cabin Bright.

Hope this helps.

See you and Pat down the road
