Does anyone tow Chrysler Aspen or Dodge Durango

I have a 2008 Chrysler Aspen  (same as Durango) and would like to know if I need to pull a fuse to keep from running battery down while in tow.
Thanks,
Jerry

I just finished reading the manual and while I am having trouble believing it, you actually leave the trans in Park.  I tried it and it works.  I guess I don't have to understand it...just accept it.
Thanks all.

You leave the trans in park?  This is when towing with 4 wheels down?  And all 4 wheels turn?  Then what the heck good is the "PARK" position on the trans?  They could just as well call it "ROLL DOWN THE HILL".  Do they supply chocks with the vehicle?

We've flat towed our 2012 Wrangler automatic 40,000 mi with the transmission in Park and transfer case in Neutral. No screeching and the tires are still round. Durango may share stuff with Jeeps. Same company.

Ahhh...that is the key - a transfer case.  OP didn't mention it was a 4-wheel drive vehicle.  NEVER MIND...

The shift is electronic.  You push a small button with a ballpoint pen.  The electronic part concerned me.  I'm old school, pull the lever to neutral.
