Reels installed and some plumbing in the wet bay

I couldn't be happier about my experiences at Tennessee RV. I had a powered electric cord reel and a spring loaded fresh water reel installed today.

I had the power cord hardwired. I told my favorite FT artist Brad, that I wanted flexibility with the water hose so I'd be able to connect to shore water and connect to the direct fill valve on the top of the tank.

This is what he came up with:



One water connection, two valves so I can choose either without having to mess with quick hose connections.  As a side benefit when hooked up to shore water I can just open the fill valve in the wet bay to fill my tank.

The water hose sticking out of the old power connection hole is my black water tank flush. I need to buy a plumbing flange to improve how that looks.

I also had a small water leak and a coolant leak fixed. Tomorrow morning I'm having a Safe-T-Guard steering stabilizer installed, primarily to give us some peace of mind in the case of a blow out.

I think I'm done...for a while.  ;D

I've been shuffling between Jeff's coach and mine, since we know each other via the "un-rally" in Hendersonville, NC. 

I'd second Jeff's comments about Tennessee RV.  Brad Armstrong scheduled my visit and checked-in our coach.  I've been very thankful he also has done some of the work — not the least of which was fixing the "dead" Line 1 (zero volts) on our generator that I've been asking about on the Forum.  Brad is actually a Service Advisor now, but with high demand in the shop this week and a key staffer away on a family emergency, Brad jumped in to fill the gap.

Met James Holder, RV Service Manager, and am very impressed with his leadership of the shop, as well as his customer care & communication skills.  Those are increasing rare abilities these days, and after spending the last decade in the hospitality industry,  Susan & I have pretty high standards for those skills.  He also provided a helpful first-hand report re: his experience with Safe-T-Plus steering control system on big trucks. Susan & I will have one installed next visit (this visit, if they have time).

David did first-rate work on engine and generator fluids and filters, saving me a trip to Cummins — but even more, he remedied the wheel stud problems I've asked the Forum about.  Very thankful I brought our coach here, because the tire shop declared 3 of the 4 bad studs fixed.  All four needed attention and David at Tennessee RV provided that.

Big thanks to all !  Looking forward to being back on the road.  :-)

Glad to hear Brad is a service advisor.  He is a great tech
