Finished the entry ( now we grout)

Tomorrow we grout and reveal the finished product. Galley and bath redo.

Nice !!

And, oh my, do we need to talk.  I was just about to post a question about tile (when have 2-3 broken) and grout (we have a fair amount that needs to be renewed). 

I think I've found my expert!  <big smile>  Congratulations.  It looks GREAT!

We are fortunate to have found someone who is a craftsman ,and is here everyday !!! (he finished our bath downstairs at our "stationary  home".

I pitch in as much as room allows and give him my "opinion"

Great guy tho he is local to TR area and Furman U

Be SURE to use a flexible grout.

Hans,

That's great news -- thank you!  I'd love to have his name and number, when he finishes up for you (don't want to take time from your job).  We're about as close to TR, maybe a little closer, than you are?

This week and last have just been crazy.  Worked in Greenville last week doing sommelier duties, and have been working to finish a book publishing project this week. Meanwhile, we're looking at going back to California, where my skills are much more in demand in the wine industry -- while at the same time, fielding an inquiry re: the possibility of running an RV resort in Nevada.  "When it rains, it pours," or whatever the old saying is.  We can talk more when we get together.

Looking forward to seeing you guys Thanksgiving weekend.  I owe Marjet a response to her note on 9/21.  We would love to be able to join you at James Island, too.  But with the GrandVention trip -- which we think we need to continuing learning about our coach -- Susan can't be away from work that much between now and the end of the year.

More soon, and thanks very much for the note about your tile craftsman!

Brett, Thanks for the recommendation...we are using a flexible base and grout.I figure we added 200 lbs of Marble plus grout.

....that truly ~is~ stunning! And & what does Miz Puppi-Doodles (Loocey/Lucy/Lucey & please correct my spelling of her name?!) think? Do her toenails go clickety-clacking on that gorgeous floor???  Are we using area rugs? It's almost too pretty.... ^.^d

Lucee..is pretty happy with the job too she likes the coolness.We are deciding on the area rug, winter time will be bit different.

Beautiful floor.  I really like the smaller tiles much better than the larger tiles.
