Removing dinnet booth

I see where I can make a little space by removing my dinette booth and big corran dinette table and replace it with a small round table and 2 chairs... where is a source for a smaller round corran table... my 96 wide coach gets close walking between the booth and fridge. I did a search but possibly worded it wrong. My gut gets in the way of the booth and the table or vise verse.

Dub,

You should be able to find a local "solid surface" fabricator and have them make a small table out of your present one.  The new one will need to be enough smaller so they can cut parts from the deck for the table edges.

If you want to save and store your present top "just in case" you may find a fabricator with a matching remnant.

Google "solid surface fabricator" and you should come up with possibilities.  Include your city in the search for local results.

I'm going to pull my table & chairs, you'd be welcome to them. Prolly the same table, however. Mine measures 26" from the table edge to the fridge. Got a pic?

Sent you a pm Mike... yes I would hate to waste my current table.. still nice corran.. just takes up to much room.. I have thought about finding someone with the saw and the skills to make a small round table out of the one I have. Thanks for replies.

That is nice! We've got a different floor plan without cabinet doors in the rear, so our plan is to run the cabinet end-to-end where the chairs & table are. Anyone have a clue what the latch on the front of the table does? Was the cabinet material hard to find, or did you mill it yourself?

Our coach came with a table leaf.  That's what the latch is probably for.

We wanted a bigger table so I made a new top out of cherry instead of corian.  A local woodworking shop could make a table for you to match your cabinets.

Mike the latch is to pull the table out and add the leaf. The cabinet was custom built from scratch by a family member.

No travel he has a custom cabinet shop in north FL. I don't think the pattern is special he had the cutter on hand.

Thanks for the photo Bruce.. I have decided to go with something  similar to what you did... Will have added storage and more room to get my "physique" between the table area and fridge.

I admire people that have the skill to build a cabinet like that.... If you presented me with a piece of plywood and said make a square box ... well.. how square.. square sorta... we all have talents but making a piece of furniture isn't one of mine.

I removed the dinette in my 2000 U320 and replaced it with a desk. It is working out great for me.

Or, there is always the "combo breakfast bar/computer table".  Several Forum members have installed variations on this theme.  We find it much more useful than the original round corian table, plus it provides a wider walk-thru isle in the "kitchen".

We did very much the same thing in our '93 U225. I had an access hole in the desktop to run my computer cord to the lower power source, it was great for eating, the chairs stowed nicely and it was great prep space for the kitchen. We ran ours from the knee wall by the entry to the solid wall at the side of the cabinetry. Perfect!

We did the harvest table similar to Chuck & Jeannie's, but not as pretty, per Carol's suggestion. We love it and think of Carol with gratitude every time we sit down. We would never go back to the corian table. We got too "fluffy" (I attribute it to our meds) and we do enjoy looking out the window.
