Introducing myself and saying hello!

I just wanted to take a moment to say hello and introduce myself.  I am new to this forum and new to Foretravel, so new in fact that I am still parked in the Foretravel campground in Nacogdoches.  I just purchased a 2008 Nimbus and look forward to getting out on the road soon.
Thanks,
Greg

welcome to Forum. There is much to learn but all the help you need is out here just waiting. Suggest you spend as much time as possible reading all the info in your manuals and before leaving Nac make sure you have asked every question you can think of and make many notes of answers.
Good luck and safe driving.

Hi Greg,

Welcome both to the Forum and to the Motorcade Club.

I would strongly encourage you to take advantage of your first year free membership in the Motorcade Club.  Attend some area rallies and better yet go on a motorcade.  You'll be glad you did.

Welcome Greg.
It's always good to meet a new Foretravel owner.  It means we are still growing.  You will learn a lot from this forum.  Please ask all you want.  There are no questions that should be left unasked.

Also, check out Barry Brideau's web site for a significant amount of Foretravel information, technical, historical, etc.

That's great, came thru there earlier this week.  I noticed an RV Park along the interstate in that general area, is the the best place to stay in that area when passing thru?
Thanks,
Greg

Greg,

We're at FT also with the SSR out front.  Unfortunately we'll be leaving in the am for a quick trip to Massachusetts for Thanksgiving.  Make sure to introduce yourself around the campground.

Welcome!  There is NO such thing as a dumb question ... ALL of us have made every boneheaded mistake that you can think of (that is why we all sound so smart now) ... This is the only group of people who will listen to you talk about your Foretravel endlessly and never get tired of the subject (when you try that with your other friends, their eyes glaze over) ... If you have a problem and post it here while you are waiting for the Emergency Roadside Service to arrive, you will have three good possibilities for a fix by the time the guy gets there.  There is always something interesting to read here, and we have made more friends within this group than we ever did living in a neighborhood.  Some folks we knew for a few years before ever meeting them in the flesh!!  Have fun with some Motorcade trips ... find some others "down the road" ... and enjoy Nacogdoches. It truly is a lovely town!!

Welcome Greg.

Welcome to the best forum. No other MH has information and support system that is provided here.

You will see opinions and some very valuable advice here that can't be found in any book or manual. On our voyage home with our new (to us) coach we pulled into a rest stop and couldn't get the Alison back into gear. Turns out a small piece of carpet was holding the foot pedal up and raising the rpm just enough that the trans safely couldn't go into gear. The answer came within minuets from this forum.  EVERYTHING that you need to know about these coaches is here.

And just a great group of folks providing it.

Safe travels to you and your family.
