strange wires in the front overhead

I am finally working on the inside of my fixer-upper and trying to get the television, stereo, and dvd-vcr working. I have found unhooked wires all through the front over head. most I can figure out what they did. The wires in the pictures attached appear to be thermostat wires. Don't have any idea why they would be behind the television and stereo equipment. Has anyone seen wires like these behind their television. They were not hooked up to anything

Since it looks like the wires are coming from above, maybe they are left over from a roof top satellite antenna?  Is there an antenna on the roof for satellite tv, internet, or was there?  Like I said, this is just a guess- hope you get it figured out.

They go towards the driver side and disappear under the bottom of the overhead cabinets that run along the drivers side. They don't show up in the area behind the bedroom television as some of the other wires do.

Howdy Craneman,
They may be wires from a removed BOSE surround system.  You might check and see if the other end is under the couch, where the base was located.

Thanks
will check that one out as the Bose system was replaced with a Yamaha. The Bose power transformer was still plugged into live a/c which I removed.

Well they didn't go there but you have helped me find where all the cut off black wires are going. That Bose box is huge and doing nothing and I can see it is still plugged into live a/c power. Looks like a later project as the couch has to be disassembled for me to get there. Thanks again.

Howdy Craneman,
Yeah, I removed my BOSE system several years ago and replaced with a sound bar.  The BOSE bass is a huge (heavy) chunk of audio electronics.  As I think about this, your wires may go to the bedroom, at the foot of the bed, I had a couple of BOSE speakers. I removed all this stuff and taped, and marked the wires for future use.

Those speakers are now working. I now have all 7 speakers working through the Yamaha that came with the coach. These wires are such small gauge they could only be signal wires or as I posted thermostat wires. Just don't know why they end in the overhead tv stereo area. It looks like I have identified all the wires to make everything work including the little green eyes.
