Re: Structural Urethane Adhesives

The structural adhesive is pretty easy to use. The mixing nozzle takes the parts a and b and mixes it in a corrugated like path. No other mixing needed. It is fairly stiff but when it is warm it will sag. The adhesive I got has a seven minute working time. That means that in seven minutes it is setting up in the mixing nozzle and everywhere you put it. In 45 minutes you can be sanding the excess off. They make faster setting adhesive, might be good for Rance but I wanted more time.
The holes in the plumbers strap give a lot of mechanical connection to the reinforcement. Roughing up the plastic a bit helps too. A piece of wax paper or plastic bag keeps your clamps clean and glue and strap as thin as they can be where the covers attach to the ac base.
I keep finding new places where this adhesive works well. I sort of have to tomget my money out of it. I am usually willing to spend money on good tools. They will last a very long time and help you do the job as well as it can be done.
