obsolete vacuum generator

After reading all the posts on the vacuum box and alternatives I decided to see just what went bad in mine. It was the check valve, blue and white in photo. it would leak by, causing the box to continually click. Went to O'Reiley  and bought a vacuum check valve and some adapters for $10.00 hooked up to box for a bench test and it holds vacuum. I wonder how many of the ones that were discarded just needed this fix. I did the crimping of the vacuum line going to the vacuum can and when it still clicked knew it was in the box.
