The first Uni-Coach

As many on this forum know I have a 95 U320SE. I knew I had an early build April 94. I contacted Foretravel today and based on there records I have the earliest uni-coach on record. I bought it from the original owner and have sketches on the interior design with CM Fore and the buyer. They believe it to be the first one sold. I have asked Foretravel to send me something in writing for my records. Who knows maybe I have a little piece of history.

One should never post the full Vin number for there coach,to easy to print fraudulent  title.

That's not the VIN

Many months after its build date I sold the prototype.  So you do have the first one sold.

That unit had a natural convection  primus heating system and a series 60 Detroit.

Bob your old friend Kent Knaus told me of a pro-to-type Detroit Deisel that he and CM played with. I actually thought that unit might have sold before mine.

Old buddy Kent.  He still around?  Say hi to him and Nancy for me.  Still remember fixing his 6v92 U300.

Everyone wanted to steal it so the factory parked it at mac.

Had a truck fleet owner who told me he would not buy a newer unihome unless it had a series 60 in it like his trucks had.

He figured he was safe.  Still remember his face after I confirmed he would buy one when I told him that there was one....

After he bought it and used it he came in to service and we talked with no witnesses.

He loved at and could have cared less what he had to pay to get it.

And he was very tight on money.

Shook my hand and thanked me.

Fun biz at times.

This would have been after you got yours I think.

Bob, I will say Hi to Kent, Nancy has passed but Kent is doing fine. At 6ft. 5in. and wearing Bibs he is still the same person you met years ago. Even though he no longer has a motor home he still promotes Foretravel and talks of happy days. Ain't life great?

So, we can assume that as a good Foretravel owner you're going to donate this coach to the RV museum before it has any chance of getting damaged, Right?  ^.^d

I may have missed it, but what is your build number? Our U320SE was built in February 1995 and our build number is 4726.

I wonder how many coaches they built between yours and mine and what mix there was of various models.

Thanks! We have a Cummins M11 and an Aqua-Hot.

It would certainly be nice if Foretravel was still producing coaches at the same rate as about 20 years ago!
