Cabinet Struts

Does anyone have a source or cheaper cross reference for a SUSPA C16-21696 gas strut?

Than FOT?

If you search the forum for the struts (aka Attwood Springlift), you'll find somehave tried alternatives and had issues with them being too strong and causing the retention points to pull out of the cabinets.  Preferred source is still FOT parts.

I saw your post and they are still selling for 9 bucks at FOT. I picked 'em up Wednesday.

that seems to have been their sale price for the last three years - suspect they buy them in large qty direct from MFG - definitely the best place and price to buy the struts!

Do the new coaches use these? If not maybe getting rid of stock not used any more.

It is my understanding that they bought hundreds a few years ago and established sale price then.  We will buy another 8 or 10 next week.  :D

Don't know if this helps, but I just picked up 10 of them from MOT at $9.34 each last month.

Don, hate to post a repeat, but when I read on the Forum that they were $10 at FOT, I recalled a lower price at MOT when I bought before.  So I asked at MOT parts sales today and they quoted the same as you got, $9.34, before I had read your post.    I did not check to see if the motorcade discount was applied at either or both places, but a difference in price of so little would not be enough to have me driving around checking if I only needed a few.  And there may be an online option if one has the time.
