xantrex link 2000 question

Just got my new house batteries installed today. When I went to program the link 2000 battery type on the F-02 menu to the AGM There are supposed to be 4 setimgs.
0=flooded cell
1=gel fast charge
2=gel
3=AGM

However when I enter into the setup and go to f-02 it only shows a choice of 1 or 2.

Any ideas? or am I not doing some thing right?

Thanks.

Do you have the user manual?  Is the choice 1 or 2 for the battery bank?  It references choices 1,2 or 3 for battery types in the setup.

Hope this helps.

I have the same choices (1 or 2) on my Link 2000 controlling the Freedom 25. I chose a value of 1 for F-02. I reviewed the values in the instruction manual with the recommendations from Concorde and it appears to me that the differences are relatively small and are temperature dependent. You may want to review recommendations and choose the setting that you find closest to recommendations for your batteries. Your choice may depend on the temperatures in which you spend most of your time.

I adjust F-03 to provide enough charge to cause a sight accumulation of positive value for amp-hours while the system is on float. The batteries are inside a bay and are generally a bit warmer than ambient temperatures. I adjust F-03 depending on our current environment. I use the temperature value as a rough guide, but use the ammeter and amp-hour meter as primary guides for setting F-03.

I down loaded, printed & put the manual in a binder.  I've read the whole thing & I'm still perplexed. I may try calling Xantrex & ask. Maybe there is a difference with the manual I just got off their site and my older Link 2000.

From page 10 of the manual, Normally the only functions that must be changed are F-02 Battery Type, F-03 Ambient temp, F-08 Peukert's component.
