Michelin XZA2 Energy 295/80R22.5

Looking at purchasing 8 of these tires for my coach.  Does anyone in the Louisiana/Texas area have any recent price experience on these tires?  If so would you share with me so I can know what price range to look for.

Also interested in how to find out the price of these tires using the FMCA Michelin Advantage program.

I ran Goodyears on the Airstream for 30 years and found them to be excellent!  Worth a check; me thinks Michelins are overrated, though I run them 'cause they came with the coach almost new. A plus with Goodyears, is they have dealerships all over , and are friendly to do a pressure check. Brings up a question, I'm going to post another tire thread.

Gerard - I purchased a new set in May of last year through the Michelin Advantage program.  Used Herman Power in Nac.  As advertised - $666.50 each plus tax, mounting and balancing.  I also received a trade-in of $60 per tire.  When I was shopping it was a little difficult to locate a set given the not so standard size. 

I have about 6,000 miles on them so far and I really do like them.  They were an exact replacement for the previous Michelins which were 7 years old, but the new set rides much nicer and don't leak!  Yes, they are pricey but I'm a satisfied customer.

On second set of Michelins. Never had an issue. 8 years total. Went thru FMCA advantage program for current set, great price.

Michelle, you are totally correct that I will not have another set of Goodyear.  I did receive pricing from Herman Power in Nac on the Michelins and for 8 of them it is $6847.00...OUCH.  The tires will be 5 yrs old shortly and I am gun shy after my blow out 5 yrs ago.  I can get 8 Toyo M144A/P for $4776.00.  That extra $2000 has me thinking.  Any bad experiences with Toyo out there?

Gerard, is that for LRH as well?

There is some good feedback on the forum here for Toyo; search should turn it up.  Check for feedback on Bridgestone and Continental as well.

I just put four on the back with Centramatics and the ride has never been smoother. LRH.

Does not sound like the FMCA price direct from Michelin?

Centramatics perked up our ears.  If this topic needs to be split off into another thread, just let me know?  Otherwise, Dave, can you provide more info?  Susan & I have been intending to put Centramatics on the steer tires.  Didn't realize we could do the same on the rear.  Went to the Centramatics site, however, and it was unclear (to me) what to purchase.  Is it better to get them through a truck tire dealership, which will have to install them anyway?

I got my Centramatics from FL Shores Trucking - they are the cheapest and provide free shipping:
Products: Wheel Accessories > Wheel Balancers > Centramatic - Florida Shores... As I recall they are 600-630 front and 600-640 rear.

Richard, Susan,  I have run the same centramatics ( all axles )  on  the last three Foretravels. The original four were used and come off  an over the road semi. They now have exceeded 1 M miles . They still do the job.  I bought two more when I got the 2000 42 with the tag. I would not start a long trip with out them. I have NO plans to "upgrade" to another Foretravel, but if that happens, they will be installed on the next Foretravel.
Also, I prefer them over the Balance Masters.
