A couple of years ago our Prosine 2.0 failed and I contacted a service repair facility in Seattle.  I was told by the tech. that he has successfully repaired about 3 out of 10 units that he has touched.  He suggested that the units are basically throwaway these days.  I replaced with a Magnum 2812.

Good luck.  :D
