Caravan

Came across this word while reading about my awning. What, and why the caravan position?

I believe it's "half-open", for a better view and ease of moving around under the awning.

I hope it doesn't mean for me to have my awning half way deployed while driving in a caravan!!

We saw a coach leave here after taking that thought literally; took out a light standard & bent his roller arms!
