2000 8.3L Cummins belts
Coach is at local truck repair shop for chassis lube,oil/filters and belts. I supplied belts purchased as recommended by Foretravel model manual. It turns out that the recommended A/C and alt belts do not fit. Going to retrieve completed unit now and will report on which belts were actually installed
Hydraulic pump belt is correctly a 80465. The AC/H2O belt is 80690. The 80680 as listed in Foretravel literature could not be made to fit.
The tech substituted a 9470 in place of the 9476 as it was explained by him that the shorter belt is less likely to flutter.
The old belt removed from the AC/H2O pumps was a 80690 but we could not read the numbers until it was removed. Hoping AMAZON store will take the 80680 back.
On to additional small projects in preparation for major summer travel.
Do we need to change the belt number recommended on this engine AC/H2O pump?
