wiper assembly mounts

Toby has a right hand eybrow that slowly raises at highway speeds and when you turn on the wipers the arm runs right off the windshield and then back on.  Further inspection has shown that the wooden "mount" for the right hand wiper motor and linkage has started to move on the back side of the nose. I believe what ever form a glue used has given up and the plywood looks to be rotted. Has any one rebuilt one of these mounts?

Both wiper motors on mine came loose and would move in the wind like yours, but the wooden blocks were solid. I secured the wiper motor metal plate to the wood block with wood screws and that solved the problem. If your wood block is moving, maybe you can apply some good construction adhesive around the edges and get a few more years before you have to take it all apart?

I don't think that will be in the cards the plywood itself is delaminating. Will see what I can dream up in the future

There is a product that I bought at HD that you drill holes in the wood and inject it. It leeches out and makes the wood solid. I had to repair the floor under the toilet on my Monaco and it worked great. Sorry I used it all up so don't have the name but do a search and I am sure you can find it.

Rot Doctor also works very well on rotten wood.  Wood preservation, rot repair, and restoration using epoxy resin on boats...

It's good for just about anywhere the wood has rotted due to water, mold, etc.  Wood preservation, rot repair, and restoration using epoxy resin on boats,...
