Air bag not deflateing

Started to do the air bag replacement today and after putting in the safety blocks dumped air. All the wheels except the right front deflated. I tried to use the down arrow, dump arrows and the right front still had air. I unhooked the air line to the rear bag on the right front wheel and got them deflated. I am going to check with the PO tomorrow an make sure he didn't replace the bags when he had the coach as they look too good to be 17 years old. Back to the air problem, has anyone ran across this happening to a pair of air bags?

cman,

While you have it blocked up look for a dirt/mud dauber nest that has been built in the exhaust port on your front HWH 6pack.  Even hid behind the pressure switch for that side those little buggers can get to the exhaust port and stop them up.

We have had this happen several times.  As Pamela and Mike say, ours has always been a mud dauber nest.

I replaced mine when the rubber started to crack and drop off exposing the cord.  They didn't leak, but figured it was only a matter time before one failed.  If no cracks or cord showing maybe no need to replace, a lot of work.

Update when I said the bags on the right front would not deflate, I was referring to the fact that they still held air after I put the safety blocks in. They will deflate with weight on the coach all the way down. After I change the air bags I will try to trace the problem. The PO (Ron) told me they are the original air bags and at 17 years old I am just going to change them all for safety's sake.
I finished the right front pair today and will post some pictures on how I got the front bag 90 deg. fitting and nut off. Between jobs is when I am working on the project so a few days before I will be finished.

I gained access to the front of the front airbags by cutting holes. On the driver side the hole is in the metal to the rear of the genset fan motor. On the passenger side, i installed a round access panel in the wall of the stair well. Barry B took pictures which he posted on his BeamAlarm web site.
