outlet power ?

During my pre-trip operation check I found a new problem.  The ac outlets do not work on shore power.  The ac outlets work on generator power.  The ac outlets work when I activate the inverter button.  What am I missing here?

Some ideas - Are you sure the shore power is live (check breakers at pedestal and building main panel)? Could also be your shore cord or plugs. Do you have a cord reel, the brushes can fail. Need to work your way back from the pedestal and verify voltage to the coach cord plug. If voltage is at the plug, then gen/shore transfer relay may be suspect.

Peter is correct -

Check all breakers at the bottom of the bed.

I usually grab my volt meter and check the shore power plug. 

if I have power there I then take the cover off the ATS and verify power there. 

If you have power there you can take the breaker panels off and check those breakers.

Eventually you will find the problem.  It's not as difficult as it seems, just a pain in the butt.

Once you check those things report back if you haven't found the problem.

I am sure with help from this FoFum you will find the problem and fix it.

I have usually found that it's usually the simple problems that seem daunting.

Our coach (build 5019) has a main breaker panel with 50-amp main breaker that gets it power from Transfer Switch.
Transfer switch uses relays to switch the 50-amp breaker between shore power and generator power.
If you are able, opening the top of the transfer switch located under the bed, will be the place to measure if voltage is getting to relays.
When only generator is running, the generator relay closes to pass power to 50-amp breaker.  When only shore power is present, the shore relay closes.  When both shore & generator power are on, your transfer switch will probably only let shore power pass to 50-amp breaker.
If you have an original transfer switch, it is probably model ats-100, which is partly repairable.  There is a built in generator delay and at several safety controls to prevent both shore & generator relays from closing at the same time.
Your problem is likely in the transfer swich.
Some outlets are live with inverter, shore & generator.  Some outlets (washing machine, built-in vacuum, refrigerator) are only live on shore & generator.  Many outlets are also protected by the single bathroom located GFCI outlet.
