cleaning the tanks

Have had the coach 2 months, have no idea what if anything was ever done to tanks, as with everything else on the coach I want to start from square one. Tanks are next, sanitize water system and CLEAN black tank.  I read on this forum a member has used this service to clean his tanks (black) ...if anyone has a good/bad opinion I would appreciate a post. http://www.allprowaterflow.com/default.asp

For the black tank thinking about just getting some PVC...put a cap on one end with some holes drilled in the cap...water hose to the other end, open the toilet stick the pvc down the hole turn on the water and spray out the tank...could I use a pressure washer in this manner (on spray NOT stream) or would I risk damage to tank somehow?

Thank you!

Somebody already thought about the wand with the holes on the end,you can get them at stores that sell rv products for about
$10.

Anything stuck down into toilet or vent stack that is not smooth from end to end could catch on some edge, especially if a bend in the stack pipe pushes the cleaning wand to one side.  We avoid using the 'cap' on the end for this reason.

We do use a 1/2" 50' water hose fed into window with the brass end cut off to flush drains and toilet each week, and occasionally stick the hose down the toilet into tank.  Also nothing gets scratched with end cut off.
