Tail Light Search

Does anyone know from what vehicle does the tail lights on my 1999 U320 come from and the year.  My guess they are from a Ford Econoline roughly between 92 -95 but not sure.  I would like to replace the fixture with a Euro Style or something with LED's.
Thanks, John

That corresponds to what I came up while researching the tail lights on our 99' U270. The issue you will have is that while there are LED tail light replacement housings available on eBay and elsewhere, I couldn't find a single example that included separate (amber) turn signals in the housing. The brake lights and turn signals are combined (Red). I installed a couple of LED round amber fixtures above the housings for the turn signals. Makes them even more visible up there...

John, there are some pretty high intensity LED bulbs that will fit in the existing sockets in the Ford tail lights. not all wedge sockets are the same but I managed to find turn signal bulbs, tail/stop bulbs and backup bulbs.  I gave away all of the housings and all of the bulbs when I had Xtreme redo the tail lights.  I still have the sockets and wiring harness.  All of the bulbs came from Amazon. Some didn't fit and I just sent them back.  If they are "not suitable for the intended purpose" Amazon pays the return shipping.

Don's lights look great.  I added an extra set of lights (Turn/Tail/Brake) up higher (a couple feet higher than Don's) for added visibility over our towed Jeep.

Not sure which ones I used.  maybe these.  Match the bulb numbers from the existing bulbs to these for the best chance for a good fit.  Sometimes the bases just didn't fit all the way in.

Tail/Brake perhaps?  They need four contact wires.

Here is what I currently have.  When I was at FOT in May of this year I wanted to buy a new gasket and they said I had to buy the whole fixture.  I figured if I have to change it, I might as well upgrade it.  The other attached fixture is for a 95 Ford. The OEM 94 and 95 look the same.  The only thing in 95 they eliminated the yellow turn signal.  The attached 95 fixture has three sockets so it looks like it might work.  I just need to make sure the shape and dimensions are the same.

The 95 OEM light shape looks the same as the 94.  Just no Amber light.

I gave my take out tail light fixtures to someone who had the same problem.  It would be interesting to find a newer replacement.

Roger, that is a nice selection of bulbs.  If the fixture I am looking at is the same footprint as my old one, then those bulbs should work real nice.  Thanks.
