Air intake grill glue

Have a replacement plastic air intake grill
The original located at the high up at the rear of my 2000  U295
It is glued on along with a mesh screen
The glue is some type of putty ,Grey in color
Any one know what this is or what works?

I'm surprised your grille isn't metal, held on inside with nuts on protruding studs.  Maybe a PO mod?

That plastic grill looks like it's ready for the trash bin.  I would take all the pieces to a local machine shop, and have them cut you a replacement out of metal.  Get it powder coated, and you will be good to go.  ^.^d

Or, order a new one from FOT, if you wish to contribute to the NERF (Nacogdoches Economic Recovery Fund).  :dance:

My 98 grill was made of aluminum that was painted white.  I cracked mine when the material got thin after I had taken a grinder to it to remove the cube that housed the old camera but was able to JB Weld it back together and repaint it.  Looks like new. 

I have no idea how your grill would receive the amount of damage it has due to the location it is at.  A machine shop or fabrication shop should be able to make a new one for you. 

The original setup should have screws on the back side of the grill that are accessible through the interior from cabintet over the bed/engine.  Its a tight and awkward fit.

Your coach has been modified to add and after market camera and at that time a previous owner had a new vent made and chose to attached the vent with screws and probably common RV putty (that comes in rolls of various widths).

You could use any material that is perforated/vented/screened and cut it to size and remove center for camera.  Sure you will find something at Lowe's etc.  Just have to have enough open space for intake air flow.  Here are few items I found.

And if you were going to use the similar screw mounting there is no reason for butyl tape, which is normally used to keep water & weather out.  Since the plate is vented, I don't know why tape is needed
