Dropped the hook at exit 36 , just West of Jackson Miss. Rained every inch of the way from the Tenn. state line . No chance of a forest fire around here . Three more days of 70 MPH . New tires feel good from a safety stand point . Brad Metzger

Glad you are safely that far. Br careful on I20 when you cross the state line into Texas.

It is rumored that Coachbuck City has a new gravitational pull working that automatically

takes over and makes FT's go to Nacogdoches?? Let me know if it is true !

Must have passed 20 Texas State Troopers with someone pulled over on I-10 between San Antonio and El Paso. Funny thing is that we breezed through Houston on Wednesday but had traffic backkups in both San Antonio and El Paso. Went through Houston at 9:30 AM .

Y'all keep on hammering, cloudy supposed to rain here at Tonopah Az about 60 miles out of Q, at Saddle Back Mountain.

that is where I will anchor for the winter .have been going there for 6 years and really like it . I ride right from the camp site on my Maverick every day with hundreds of choices as where to go . Loads of miles in all directions . Brad Metzger

Brad which campground to Tonpah, they put in a huge chicken farm across from Saddle Mountain CG. Depending on the wind it Can get pretty stout.

The chicken farm -----that's the one all right . Usually not much of a problem , but like you say , depending on the wind . I only know of one " Saddle MTN. Camp Grown " Plan on arriving on the third , Will you be there ? Brad Metzger

Did you get much rain? Looks like they got some decent showers around the Quartzsite area least night...

We are getting hammered here in Ajo: heavy rain and wind.......bring it on, every storm like this increases the possibility of a wildflower bonanza. Looks like Q is clearing.

We will be leaving Little Rock on the 11th Tucson on the 14th I Hope!!! Spend two days there . Then on to Ajo. I'd like to stay where Mr. Mike L is staying for two or three days , then head to Yuma to get a full-tank of water . Quartzsite here we come ,

Brad we'll be here, we are at the BLM just around the corner off of courthouse road at the 13 mile marker. We will move to the camp ground about the 7th to get ready to go to Q. I'll look you up on the 3rd or 4th.

We have a stop in Agaunga Calif before Q and HOPE to leave for south in the morning but we had another dump of snow last night so did a quick check of traffic cams in Wash' and Oregon and looks not too bad from around 80 miles south of us but will now change routes as 97 south thru Oregon looks not nice. Will head west on I 84 to before Portland then south I 5. Siskiyou's look fine and that is usually a bad spot as very high Pass and steep. Looks like we have added a bunch of miles to route but better safe. First problem is getting out of our drive and up the hill(very steep and no run up to build momentum) to main Rd. Will hook up Tracker after that (if we make it)

That is so good Bruce . Time to go check out some old closed down gold mines . You will be impressed . Ran 454 miles today . now at mile marker # 408 on I-20 , Weatherford , Texas . This means I have 408 miles till I get to I-10 wow , seems like half the trip from Virginia is just getting from one end of Texas to the other .

John,

Had some friends we used to run with. They had an old converted Blue Bird Bus that
he removed the 460 gas and put in a pretty worn 3208 Cat. It was not very fleet footed.
They pulled a Jeep CJ7 and the son rode in it to play his music. One day going up Rabbit
Ears Pass in Colorado I saw the son crank the Jeep and start pushing.I laughed all the way
to the top then pulled over and waited on them. I asked them if I needed to keep a chain
handy? They said, o no this usually works. Have always wondered how they handled the
time(s) it didn't.

Have a safe trip down and I hope everyone has a super good time in Q,

My neighbour took out his snow blower and removed the main part of that snow fall off the private drive we share. I see the Plows have been out then salted and unless it drops another bunch tonight we should be fine.
