ATS replacement

I have two ATS, one buried below the other at the foot of our bed. Naturally the buried one needs replacing. It controls the switching to the invert er, which it quit doing.
I have a ATS ES50M-65N. Can I use it for the replacement?
I don't want to take everything apart to find I don't have the right ATS to fix it right then and there.
All advise is appreciated. 🤓

Nope, that's a 50A ATS, if it's like mine, that ATS is a 30A.

Jon,

How do you know the inverter ATS is not working?  Is the inverter panel dead in one position and not the other?

To function when on shore or gen, the main panel breaker is connected to the inverter ATS & panel, and when inverting, inverter, it's breakers & internal transfer-relay need to be working.  Metering may be able to find where the failure is occurring.

Technically it seems that any 3-wire (50-amp) ATS will work with a 2-wire (30-amp) panel,  just don't use one of the transfer points.
