Rebuild Or Replace Auxiliary Compressor?

My auxiliary compressor is working fine, but it's 14 years old now and I don't have any maintenance history.  Initially I was going to get
a rebuild kit and just do my thing, but after looking at the prices and possible wait times for things like brushes I started doing some legwork.  I found this as a replacement for less $$ than the rebuild kit for the Thomas;
Viair 450C Heavy Duty Air Compressor - (Duty Cycle 100% @ 100 psi) - # 45040...

Does anyone have experience with this product, or have thoughts on whether to replace or rebuild?

Does the 2003 still us a 12 volt compressor? Thought they had gone to 120 volt.
That looks like a good choice for 12 volt to me.

The Thomas motors duty cycle and life expectancy are very heavy duty.

My Thomas is 18 years old and I would not consider replacing it with a Viair compressor.  Buy the rebuild kit and take it with you.
