Sell or keep

We are thinking of sell our 1997 u295 36 foot. Wanting 2 slides we have had our present coach for 9 years and do enjoy it . Found out banks treat older motor homes as finance cancer. Any thoughts?  Thanks

If you have an offer of 45K on an out right sale I would take it, you will be in a much better purchasing position without an older trade in.

John that is a trade price with a private seller. The paint was done in 2003 it has held up pretty good.

Craig, your email brings to mind what several friends have told me after they moved from an older no-slide to a later slide coach. . .  'Wish I had the older coach back because it was shorter, simpler, more known, had more storage space, etc'

Not to mention the cost of selling and buying. Plus the depreciation of the newer unit. Keep what you have.

Tough question that only you can answer.  Everyone is different; everyone's travel style is different; everyone's needs/wants are different.

If we were all the same, there would be only one coach length, floorplan, color scheme, etc.

And that would be boring  ;)

Are there tradeoffs?  Yes, as with anything, but just because one person prefers slides or no slides or shorter or longer, that does not make no slides or slides or longer or shorter the wrong choice for another person.  We would go nuts in a non-slide 36' coach, but that doesn't make it a bad coach.  It's just not for us but we don't discourage others from choosing it (or make them feel bad)  because we prefer a 40+ with slides.  Heck, our next coach will probably be 42 or even 45 ft. long because we want (ok, need because of the pups  ;D ) a king size bed in the next one

Only by those who feel they are over-rated.  Those of us who like them do not feel the same  :D  There's a coach for everyone and no one is wrong in their choice.
