The first 2018 foretravel

The hard part is done, the wife and I have made all the selections and the build date is early November . Lots of decisions between floor plans ,paint jobs and options. This will be one of a kind with some of our selections. We had to start with longer slides in order to accommodate two full size lazy boy electric recliners with a center table between and end tables on the sides which will be opposite a 60 flat screen behind the opposing couch with full surround sound. Then came a 23cf refrigerator next to a 20" wide pantry with adjustable drawers and a residental trash compactor. We choose to use a large single basin sink atop the garbage disposal for quick clean up. Because I like lights I had led lights installed in every cabinet through the entire coach along with under coach lighting and flush mounted led lights embedded into the bottom of the slides. As I move through the coach I think of the shower with twice the room of my existing and full body spray jets with separate controls, two big grab bars for those mornings after the night I stayed out to late. I am also looking forward to the blind spot monitoring  and the vorad system and the air seat for those long highway days.
The worst part is the wait, 6 months will give me plenty of time to clean out my current coach and start looking for a buyer.
As we move closer to delivery I will learn how to post photos and share some of our thoughts on how it's going.

Will your 2018 have a different chassis than is currently being used on the 2017 models?

When you buy a new Corvette you can have a photographer document the whole process from parts, frame and engine build through the assembly process.  They call it a Baby Book.  It would be an interesting document.

When we built our house we took hundreds of pictures at every step of the way so we knew where wires and plumbing goes in the walls and things like that.  It has been helpful but there are areas where we wish we had lots more.

Our very best wishes to you and your new coach.  How exciting!

That sure does sound exciting!  Best of luck with everything.

This sounds like it's going to be a fabulous coach.  Take good care of her, as I may be the next owner! ;-)

Very anxious to see photos, especially since it sounds like you have spec'd out a great galley!

I dont suppose you'd be interested in adopting a mid 40's balding, gainfully employed son to help you utilize that amazing piece of mechanical technology would you? Haha

We hope to see you on the trail soon and hear the excitement in your voice in person and see that magnificent coach! Congratulations!

When you first asked for suggestions, I was not far enough along the learning curve to make a suggestion.  If I were in your position, I would definitely look hard at lithium and all Victron system.  That said I am in the middle of an install so I am not at the report out stage.  They are worldwide in high end marine, rv, industrial and residential electronics.  Again I am not there yet but I would definitely recommend a look.
