here we go again....voltage regulator

hello all,been awhile...around 4 yrs ago had issues with 6.5 propane onan that would only run when holding starter switch down....way too many$$$$spent to correct.....anyway,all has been well till yesterday when it starting acting same way........after alot of reading and short discussion with scott  @ power field services promted me to replace $340 regulator.....genny is running great again except..........inside start switchs dont work and green light letting me know genny is running does not illuminate.the new regulator was easy to install,as in plug and play....anyone have any ideas on whats going on?

thank you mr john h.........not sure how to pm anyone,maybe he'll see post and advise me what to ck...both inside starter switches...dash and bedroom always worked before,as did green illuminated light.

issue solved....somehow connector on side of generator had slipped out...
