1st Prize - Worst Caulking Job in History

Fuel Tank, Pax Side. This was done by a Cummins Shop. I'll remove the panel and expose the tank.

Transwest changed a wind sensor on or roof that makes your job look professional.
I complained to manager who said " well it won't blow off " then reluctantly offered to redo it next time I was in for service !!!

I suspect there wasn't much thinking that went into this job except maybe to use the entire tube of silicone. I didn't own the coach when this was done.

I'm not going to post my pics of the crappy caulk job that was done on ours (That I still need to take of, it bothers me after a fresh paint job.)  Caulking is one of those things (like taping and finishing sheetrock)  that looks like, "anyone can do it". Yup, anyone with an eye will say, "Who the hell did that?" >:D

This is the 97 270. The other ones are past coaches (fickle and impulsive). Here's a pre-cleanup photo with the panel removed. (I prefer to see these hidden components) As you can see, the tank is directly behind the panel and the panel on the right is a standard vertical compartment wall which on this rig separates the tank from the batteries.

Speaking of the batteries, I'm thinking this coach came with wet cells so the two black vent tubes above the tank and the floor vent hole were necessary. It has gels in it now. I wonder if I really need to vent them. Could use some advice on this. I intend to replace them with AGMs but they are still going strong even though they are ten years old!
