Lithium install first test...whew!

Today we finished the wiring and fired up the system for its first test.  We put in one 200Amp battery for the test and everything came online in the compartment.  12v systems in the coach came online.  Momentary load tested to 100 A no issues.

Solar bulk came up when we opened the switch but we had all but one panel shrouded.

Tomorrow we set up panels in coach and introduce the inverter.  Then begin closing up again after labeling, bundling, shrink wrapping and adjusting.

Can't tell you how relieved I am that, as a novice, it all worked.  Love me some AM Solar.

Congratulations on a successful test!

You ARE making a detailed schematic of all the new wiring and components, right?  Handy to have...for you (when you forget what you did), for anyone else who is working on or repairing your coach, and especially for the next fortunate owners of your highly modified coach.

It weighs 93lbs.  The two we are installing then will be around 25lbs more than one 8d.  The angle of the shot distorts its size.  200 ah that can be drawn down to 15%.  The power will be rough equivalent of 2.8 AGMs and proportional weight savings of around 224lbs.  The charge regimen was tested this morning and I saw it go from bulk to float with no absorb phase.  Had to chuckle when I saw it happen.

Thanks Chuck absolutely keeping a schematic of changes.  When I do the longer longer write up I will post them with the other work.

The 8D's weigh about 160 lbs. apiece, so two of the Lithium batteries added together should come in only about 25 lbs. more than a single 8D...

Very cool George- keep us informed about how your system works with all of your solar installed.  Hope to see you in person sometime to see the system.  Sounds like a good balance of power with a nice weight reduction.    ^.^d
