Vmspc, thanks Roger Engdahl
I had purchased vmspc but not installed. Roger got it up and running today for me. Thanks Roger!
What did I learn?
There are a couple of versions or editions. They do not seem to do exactly the same thing (data).
The connection of the vmspc to the coach needed some help. It was too loose. Roger had a fix.
The size and type of the data readout is variable. I like mine. I can see a smaller screen could be good. I have a small laptop, not sure of it versus a tablet. Do I change? Maybe...Roger has an alternative .
I may think of a newer program version, but I gather it may not show all of the same data as mine. One may not show torque, for example, or trip mileage but has other data. There may be tradeoffs in data versus model. I think Roger said I have version 3?
There are many options of how to locate the monitor and it is important - he showed me options of how to attach and stabilize if on dash, hanging down near radio or more forward to window. Even put overhead. Several good options.
Not to mention installing drivers, downloading the program. Not hard but depends in part if have experience to do such or starting from zero.
Really like this access to data ...and see averaged 7.8 mpg over life of coach...at least as I read the screen! And now I can see temps, and which gear I am in.
Very good progress for us...thanks Roger.
(P.S. If you want to buy a system and have help on phone installing and operating it, buy from Roger. Even better, go where he is to see the options, install. You can do yourself but you will get a better system and have fewer "dang it" moments)
