Service bay, water faucet leaking

Hi
Does anyone have the brand and or part #, or model # for the outside service bay faucet on our 97 U295. They have used those for years. Or better yet, the cartridge #'s (shaft kit with seals) I have had it apart, and replaced the upper O's ring which were pushed out.Not even sure those are suppose to be there. I believe it got slightly froze on the way south. The faucet housing is fine.
I had the cartridges out (shafts), they looked fine, O rings and all. It will suddenly starts leaking out the faucet on it's own. If you play with the handles, you can get it to stop. It's like someone turns it on.
I have a home made plug in the end of the faucet, that is helping. Can't seem to find a way to turn off supply at the manifold either. Weird.
BTW, while we are in the service bay, does anyone know where to get the soap dispenser? Can't seem to fine one any where. Ebay Amazon, Stores etc.I am sure FT sells them for a pretty penny.
Thanks Chris

When I removed all of that stuff, I could not figure out how the two pieces pumped soap, so I am also looking for a replacement.

We have gotten an exact match from our local janitorial supply company when the plastic jar cracked.  It was cheaper to buy the whole assembly than a case of jars. (only came in case lots & didn't need 12)

Yes, I took it apart once, cleaned it all up, and it worked fine for a while. It's pretty corroded up, so a new one is needed.

I got one of these thanks to Mike Brez;

Regency 12" Wall Mounted Swing Spout Swivel Faucet with 8" Centers

It's wonderful for the money!

I also replaced my soap dispenser with one of these;

I just went through this very recently on my '97.  Probably the exact same faucet as yours.  At someone else's recommendation, I bought this part on ebay for about $12 per set, delivered.  It was a direct replacement for the Moen OEM part, at a fraction of the $, and it worked fine.  Unfortunately I don't see an active listing for it anymore but you might find it elsewhere with this model #:

Thank you, figured it's a Moen. I'll check Home Cheapo, or Lowes.

Home depot doesn't have anything like it, at least not the HD in my area.  The salesman there said it's a specialty item.

The Moen # for the faucet is 8100.  Someone else mentioned that Moen shipped them a brand new set of cartridges under a lifetime warranty agreement.  I had already purchased my Wolverine Brass replacements or I would have tried that.  Here's a link to that thread:

Utility Bay Faucet - shut-off valve?

You might call them and see what they say.

Thanks for all the good info. On the road with no address. Will call them when we return home in March. I 'am going to look for a shut off for the end of the faucet to fix it till We get home.

I found a crossover adapter fitting at Lowe's that screws onto the end of the faucet spigot - converts it to "garden hose" male thread.  Then you could use one of those yellow plastic ball valves made for garden hose to shut it off.

Also handy if you want to attach a water hose to the outside faucet for washing stuff.  8)

Exactly what I did. Put a nice shut off valve at the end. Had to drill it out. It was for a hose end, and was really high pressure. Blew a hole in the ground!
Still had a little problem on the hot valve leaking around the base. Messed with it, some O rings. I am golden.
When I fix the faucet, I am going to leave this stuff on it. Can now wash the MH ourselves!
Great minds think a like!
BTW, there are many different size threaded ends, even though they look the same. I think ours is 54/16 - 27 thread.

Agreed - took me several trips to Lowe's before I found the right one.  Trial & Error - that's my favorite technique!  8)

There was a screw on tester at the faucet parts department.Being a man, I knew better then the tester, so I blew it off. Got what looked like the same size (thought they were all the same size, they look the same). Then walked all the way from one end of the store to get the hose end. Then I thought, this is a hassle (big store) so I better go check. Walked the whole length again. It WAS the wrong one. When I got the right one, it was female instead of a male, back to the other end of the store. Glad I checked!
Cheers

The issue with the leaking faucet is that the plastic cartridge was likely frozen and the hydraulic pressure of the ice cracked the bottom of the cartridge.  Even a small crack will lead to a leak.  This happened to us and I am still searching for the replacement cartridge (original faucet on a 1993 Grand Villa).
Looks like we both need to search further.

Mike,

About a year ago I replaced the worn out cartridges in my original Moen leaky faucet.  I got lucky and went to Plumbers Parts Supply here and they just happen to have a replacement set.. They are hard to find but somebody probably has them.  The Hot side is a Danco 5L-7H for a Wolverine 17251 and the cold side is a Danco 5L-7C for Wolverine 17252.  They were $37 each, but came with the stems and metal covers for the handles.  I also took the long spout off and replaced the O-rings.  All water seals are tight and no leaks.  A new aerator and $77 bucks later the faucet works like new and hasn't leaked since!

Update. I found the complete cartridge rebuild kit on Ebay.Came with everything, both shafts (hot cold) nylon washer, and grease.
It is Moen Part # 14690 service kit.
Was finally somewhere that someone could ship it to us.
We scored, got 2 complete (NOS Kits) for $12.00 delivered, and bought a backup for $27.00 delivered.
Problem solved.  Here is a picture of the complete kit. Most only come with the Cartridge, but no nylon ring, or O ring.
Thanks for all your help

Good find Chris,

You might want to add your coach model and year to your signature.  It would help folks determine if this fix is appropriate for their coach and help others offer appropriate suggestions when you need a hand.

I know this topic thread is old, but the repair kit is on Ebay right now once again.  MOEN COMMERCIAL # 14690 SANI 2 HANDLE CERAMIC DISC CARTRIDGE WITH LH & RH... $24.99 free delivery. Or at Amazon Prime $41.31, perhaps fewer parts (O-rings etc)
