Mystery control knob; water pump bay

There is a control knob dial mounted on the vertical panel of the water pump bay set to 50.  What does this control and how does it work?    The last freeze must have split a line and resulted in some water pooling in that bay.  In the process of tracking down the source of the leak so dismantled the panels where the water pump is and will inspect the rest as soon as weather permits.

How are the bays heated?  Bathroom thermostat?  or Salon thermostat?  Could not find anything in the FT owners manual.

That is the thermostat for your water bay, and controlled by the Aquaflame?? thermostat in the bathroom.

Your A/H has to be on either electric and or diesel for the basement heat to work with this thermostat. This thermostat operates separate of the bathroom thermostat but does activate the same heat loop.  Once you get the shelves out you will be able to see the heat exchanger for this side. 

Check for a busted fitting on your water manifold.

Pam & Mike are quite correct, the AH must be on, and the bathroom thermostat does not do it, as it is a thermostat on its own although the same system.

My understanding is that the heat vent for the wet bay is fed from the rear furnace and thus is influenced by the thermostat/control in the bedroom.

This is true if you have multiple propane heaters. Mr. Fiddler's 2001 U-320 has an Aqua Hot heating system that has 2 heating radiators in his basement service bay area, one on each side of the coach. Thus the reason for the thermostat in the basement.

Thanks!!!! I knew that the thermostat in the water manifold bay was for the freight bays, but not how they worked

With you being somewhat new to this A/H system here is some info that you need to remember about this basement thermostat.  If you leave this thermostat in the on scale (like set @ 50*) it will turn on when that set point is reached even if you have both the electric and diesel switches turned off.  Now what is so important about this is:  If you forget to turn this thermostat off and you put your coach in storage without electric hookups and the basement gets to the set point it will turn on both the circulating pump and the radiator fans.  If this happens it will run you coach batteries completely down. 

We know of this happening to several coaches.
