1995 U300 lighted door assist handle wanted

I need the clear acrylic door assist handle for my 1995 U300. Does anyone know where I can find one?

You can buy a replacement at Foretravel it will have the Foretravel logo. You can buy just the acrylic separate too,
or You can buy a whole setup here,

I got mine at FT however they did not have any left with the Logo, that was 2 years ago. Be aware that the handles  require a little "custom fitting " not a big deal.

Mine still is original, with lots of checking, but so far, so good. Knowing Bruce, "not a big deal" means a PITB to me!  ^.^d

The logo part is different. You'll see what I mean when it arrives. Your original probably had the "Foretravel" inside the plastic like mine did but my new one has "Foretravel" etched into the outside of the plastic. Maybe the change was a cost cutting measure (?) I liked my old one better but nobody other than another Foretravel owner would know the difference so who cares.

I just broke ours so also need a new one. So here is the problem. The clear handle costs 14.95 but the shipping is $17.95 so $32 delivered. Our top chrome is pretty good but the bottom part has pits. Ebay has the whole assembly for $44.95 delivered and no tax. No worries about fitting, just screw it on.

I just ordered the new assembly. FLEMING RV Illuminated Assist Handle 21" w/ Chrome Plated End Brackets | eBay  They have more than one.

Prolly no one other than we nut cases. I get up around 5.00 am, fix my coffee, add Jamesons if it's chilly, go out and turn on the two outside lights until the sun comes up. I like that FT door handle a lot. The only thing better would be a version of those "bubble lights" I grew up with around the Christmas trees coming from bottom to top.  ^.^d

I guess at one time you could get "personalized" handles made up with your name.  Perhaps you still can?  Our handle says "KISSINGER", which was the name of the 2nd owner.  I've had a few people look at it, and ask if it is a special model.  We don't mind having the name of a deceased prior owner in the handle - he was one of the ones who took great care of it so we could have such a nice coach.  8)

I have replaced the clear handle for two different parties, plus our GV.
In order to make the plastic fit I had to cut the ends to adjust the length. Seems the handles come with extra material on the ends. So, if you do it yourself you might want to have a hacksaw and a means of holding the handle while cutting.
