Did I just contaminate our fresh water system?

Stopped to dump and refill.  Dumped tanks, rinse and dumped again, put everything away, hooked up potable water hose, and opened the fill valve.  It felt like bigger "initial water rush" than usual, so I looked more closely and realized I left the grey valve open.  Is this an innocent inconsequential error, or did I just make a boo boo?

The two systems (potable water tank and plumbing) vs gray water tank are totally unrelated/unconnected.

And you absolutely should not have had any of that water you were adding to the potable water tank get into the gray tank/dump hose unless someone was running water in a sink.

James,
Like Brett said, the systems are not connected in any way.  If anything the next time you go to dump be careful when removing the drain cap on the dump outlet.  You may get some water dropping since you left the gray valve open.
