AC test and refurbish

Right now we are vacuuming the front AC out and testing for any loss of vac to make sure the system can be pressurized with 134a.
Bought a 30lb can of 134a and 2 cans of leak test coloring for under $100 us from AC place here, sounds good?
Friend here has the pro vacuum pump and service manifold so all set. My system was empty and has been since buying the coach. We open windows so be interesting to see if it works once charged etc.

John if your putting a vacuum pump on it you may want to replace the dryer. I am in know way an AC guy, but usually when a vacuum is used a dryer change is part of the process.

yes I had thought of that as when I did the resonator and had that panel off. It looked pretty rusty and tried to get the model # etc but it
laabel was missing. The vacuum came out good as no loss of it overnight- gauges stayed same. I have dissconnected  the manifold as I want to run engine in am and build air up to raise the coach for blocks then will be removing the air bags as have the new ones now.. Be nice to get the rear panels back on after a week off.

Hey John, you might want to
Replace the filter dryer if you system has been out of service that long. They look like to me a universal dryer should be available at any truck supply.

I took my drier to an A/C supply and they matched it up as there were no numbers on mine. They had it in stock and it is a universal model. The port for the low pressure switch was on the opposite side as the original though.
