Drivers Seat, Passenger Seat, Recliner, Desk Available...

Mods, I think we will need to move this after a bit of discusion.

Travelers,

I have the pilot seat, co-pilot seat, recliner and cherry cabinet/desk out of my 1999 U320. They are all in very nice shape with no rips, or stains. probably showing less than average wear. (I am replacing the above with 4 buckets for better family travel safety)

Here is where the discussion starts:  I would sell the above as is of course but am thinking if you need the above you might also want the matching jack-knife sofa. Logistics are the killer but I would trade you all the above (Including the sofa) for your sofa recovered to match my new seats.

Not sure what the economies of this look like at this point as shipping this stuff could get expensive. (I am in Portland Oregon.)

Thoughts on outright values or logistics are appreciated.

Cheers

Chris

The obvious question is where are you (the coach) located?

HHHMMmmmm....  I wonder if that "super wide" co-pilot seat could somehow be crammed into our GV?  The DW would really like the extra room.  If we were currently on one of our NW jaunts, we'd pop by and do some measurements, but sadly we are stuck in TX for a while.  If you don't immediately find a buyer, DO try to put them in secure, dry storage.  I'm sure some Forum member will eventually take them off your hands.

You might post some photos showing the condition of the "sitting" surfaces of the two front seats, since most wear occurs there.

We have the wide co-pilot seat also, and my wife loves it. Our two affection hounds have to be sitting with her while we travel, and without that she would be pretty crowded.

Thanks John!  Good to know info.  Glad to have that option...now we just need to get back to Oregon!

Len, fitting the wide seat in the bus-front models is no sweat, but the GVs are little more restricted in that area (width and foot-room).

Chuck, that is why I didn't chime in until I read it would fit. I know Bella will love it!

Yes, we need to do something to ease her pain.  Currently, when we're on the road, she is forced to lay at Jeannie's feet on a 2" foam doggie pad covered with a (fake) sheepskin rug.  Her misery knows no bounds.  Makes me tear up when I look at her...

Chuck and Jeannie,

I you start now to get yourselves 'unstuck' from Texas maybe you

can free yourselves by June and have to make that long trip to the

cool NW. You might have to 'stick' there until we get our first cool

spell.

One thing to think about with these wide seats, is that it is a little uncomfortable due to your arms not naturally being able to rest on the arm rests.  And I'm not tiny by any stretch, but just because the seat is particularly wide, you have to have your arms out at about a 45 degree angle to rest them there.  So you can't really comfortably read a book or magazine or hold a phone or iPad and use them without both elbows suspended in the air, so not comfy!    Maybe not an issue for some, especially if you have to keep your eyes on the road anyway, but just something to think about.

But it would be a good amount of room for snuggling with a pet or child.  And they are great when camped, everyone loves sitting in them.  But I spend way more time in that seat while moving, so that's the only time I find any issue.

OK everyone.

I have received much more interest than anticipated so it looks like there will be no problem selling the items separately.
Working on determining values now and will make another series of posts in the classified section with pics and such.

Cheers
