Speedometer sensor in 91 U280--inductive? Hall effect?? Electronic tranny???

My VDO speedometer has quit and the PO had purchased a replacement i need to install. Vdo has different connection spades for the different types of sending ubits. Can anyone tell me what foretravel used in '91?

Rich which speedo do you have?Part Number? My 91 has a magnetic sensor that comes out the top of the tailshaft housing of the transmission.
I replaced y speedo with a VDO, it was pretty easy and solved my speedo issue. I found it was easier to use GPS to program the speed.
