Coach will not take water

Now that the coach is running I tried to put water in the tank. After attaching to city water I could not get the tank to take water or get anything out of any fixture. Opening or closing the valve in the vanity does nothing. Suggestions?

The fresh water check valve probably has failed.

Brass fitting at the hose reel right where the pex connects to the reel

Percussion adjustment may unstick the check valve or unscrew the cap and free it up.

Thanks for the suggestions. The pex fitting was broken when I got the coach. I replaced the fitting and wonder if it is pushing the valve closed. Sure wish I had known the valve was there. Will find the problem tomorrow.

Below is a link to to another post with some helpful suggestions. I could not find a 1/2" back flow preventer at Lowes in Nac, so I purchased one from FOT.

You may also look closely at the valve under the vanity and make sure the stem is actually turning. Even then I have still had them not open. If you do need to replace it they can be had at Home Depot usually, just use hose clamps instead of copper crimps. A dremel with a cut off wheel works good for cutting the crimps off. A hair dryer helps when removing and replacing the valve.

Well we were all wrong. Mud dubbers in the hose! Cheep and easy. Just when you think you have the world figured out Mother Nature throws you a u-turn.

The only hose I use to fill my water tanks is always stored with the ends screwed together. And I dump a few ounces of sanitizer in the hose prior to filling the tank.

This is a lesson in troubleshooting. Its often the most basic of problems. Ive run motorcycle batteries dead while cranking before realizing it was out of gas.
