Fresh tank fill port location

On my u280 I have been looking over the water piping before I start flushing the system. I can't seem to put an eyeball onto the actual location that the fresh water goes into the tank after you open the fill valve in the bathroom. I don't want to pull the water heater out just to look. Can anyone tell me where on the tank I really need to be looking?

I  think you will find the water goes in the bottom of the tank through the piping

There isn't a separate input line.  It just TEES into the supply line that the water pump pulls from.

And here I thought I lost a hose. Thanks guys.

After following it all the someday list has gained two more items. One map out this water system. And two redo this system with a mounted manifold.
