Shout Out To PPL Motorhomes

I ordered the wrong series electric entry steps for our FT, and realized my mistake when they arrived.  I contacted PPL customer service representative Joni Stiles who went out of her way to help me rectify the situation.

Joni immediately had the correct series steps sent to me and issued a call tag for the ones I had.  There was a lot of paperwork on her end and numerous emails back and forth with me which she graciously handled, and the end result was that I got the steps replaced and only had to pay an extra $32.00 for the return, as well as the online price of $9.99 for shipping for the new ones.  Those steps weigh about 70 lbs and there is no way that I could have returned them for $32.00.

Thank you Joni, and thank you PPL.

Agree with you. Last year ordered toilet off PPl. Received it 3 days later and found it broken. Called PPL and they sent new one and got it in 2 days. They also said keep the broken one and save any parts I might need off it.  Excellent Customer Support

ANOTHER plus is their excellent presentation of online classified motorhome ads.  I found the little "floor plan" diagrams for each coach to be very educational when we first started shopping for a RV.  Especially when accompanied by interior photos, I think they give you a much better feel for how the limited space is actually configured.  ^.^d

I had to buy a Onan proprietary circuit breaker for my Monaco and they ordered and sold it to me much cheaper than dealing with Onan direct. Also I have bought many other items from them, Sat ant and price was best I could find.

Just finished a rubber roof job. I ordered the kit from them for the job. They were spot on. Have used them several times before.

they are pretty good - but from a sales perspective - they are a consignment lot - so the sales folks there are not FT knowledgeable for the most part, and there is usually not a huge amount of history available (maintenance) on the coaches.

Not sure I would buy a FT there, but have had (as others) good luck with their parts dept. Bought my Splendide W/D upgrade from them, and a toilet

Correct-- they are a consignment lot.

So coach condition will range from very rough to immaculate depending on how the owner took care of it.  I would not recommend for or against PPL.  Just be sure to do your "due diligence" as with any purchase.

And agree, it is one of the very best places to start shopping, as you can wander through dozens of coaches "unmolested".

We finally got a change to visit them last year. Yes, the condition of the vehicles varies greatly. We went into one that had the bathroom sink sitting on the floor and cleaning supplies still in the cabinet. The pictures they take are pretty much the same ones for every coach, which makes comparing a bit easier. Of course, sometimes I'd like to see a little different angle, but then I'm not buying at this time. They really want to turn their inventory quickly, so sellers are pressured to accept fairly low prices.

I have sold a Foretravel thru them.  It was on the Dodge Chassis with 440 gas motor, (33' I think).  They went thru and told me what I should sell it for. I think it was like 13k, my wife and I felt like we should sell it for 15k.  When you sign up you tell them the bottom dollar you will take.  If they get an offer anywhere above that they will not even call you and close the deal.  Since I was working close to there I would drive by every few days and they always had the RV in the sold section.  After about 2 weeks they gave me a call and told me I needed to lower my price. I told them no since I knew it was sitting in the sold section for the last 2 weeks.  After another 2 weeks they called me and told me it was sold and  when they were doing their inspection to verify everything was working property they found the water heater was not working and wanted me to pay for having it repaired or replaced before the new owner took off with it.  I do not remember what the charge was but said OK.

Their parts store has some of the best prices anywhere I have seen.
